My credentials are my decades of reading and writing. In particular, writing business/marketing copy, writing books, and working with copyeditors (while having my books copyedited). And I have copyediting CEU's.

I've always been an avid reader and try to read a book a week. I've lived and breathed written words for five decades. At Duke and GW I started becoming a good writer. As a business marketing guy for several companies, then as a freelancer for seventeen years, a huge amount of my time was spent writing and editing online content. Five years ago I did an about-face to write fiction and have self-published three crime/mystery/thrillers (and am working on the fourth).

 

Writing fiction, I knew I needed help: to step back from my commercial copy and get a pro's input. Long story short--working with professional copy editors and discovering Dreyer’s English (a modern upgrade to the stuffy Chicago Manual), a lightbulb went off: I can offer high quality copyediting at a reasonable price to help writers present the best possible product to agents, agencies, publishers, and movie/tv executives—and help business folks and others provide the best information to their audiences.
